Circle of Life Kidney Foundation: Nurturing Kidney Health, Inspiring Awareness

Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals impacted by advanced kidney disease by providing education, funding, and support throughout their journey. We are committed to facilitating living kidney donation, advocating for streamlined processes, and celebrating the selflessness of donors. Through outreach and care coordination, we aim to improve patient well-being and foster a community of awareness and support.

Vision

Supporting patients and their families with advanced kidney disease to increase quality of life by increasing awareness and impacting the process of live kidney donation.

CORE Values

Clinical Excellence

At the CORE Kidney Foundation, we are dedicated to delivering comprehensive patient care through disease-specific clinical programs. Our successful initiatives encompass Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), Home Dialysis, Living Donor, Fabry’s Disease, Hypertension, Diabetic Kidney Disease, as well as clinics for UTI and Hypertension. These programs embrace a multidisciplinary approach, breaking down healthcare silos to provide integrated care. With plans to launch more programs, we aim to redefine healthcare in the upcoming year.

Outreach

Our commitment extends to community engagement. From organizing annual Kidney Fairs and quarterly UCLA Kidney Education Enhancement Programs (UKEEPs) and Participating in events for Hispanic and disadvantaged communities, we're actively raising kidney health awareness. Through these outreach initiatives, we educate the public, patients, families, and friends, fostering greater patient involvement and disease prevention.

Research

Advancing understanding is a cornerstone of our work. We're unraveling the complexities of various disease states through research in basic, clinical, and translational sciences. Ongoing trials delve into areas such as dialysis, diabetes, anemia, Fabry's Disease, PKD, and hypertension, pushing the boundaries of knowledge and innovation.

Education

Empowering patients is central to our mission. We host free monthly events like UCLA Kidney Education Enhancement Programs (UKEEP) to provide holistic insights into kidney disease. By involving patients and their loved ones in the decision-making process, we're fostering informed choices and shared responsibility.
